Today I was looking at my sisters' (yes, read that right...every single one of them. I have four sisters...) medals. Ones they've achieved throughout their primary and secondary school life. Their gold, silver and bronze medals come from various sports events...long jump, 100m sprint, 200m sprint, 4x100m, 4x200m, hurdles.
Then I thought..."Where are mine??"
Yeah...I know. I have ONLY two bronze medals, got them for long jump in secondary school. Still, I'm proud of them! =D
Anyways, the story goes like this...I suddenly went searching for them in drawers and cupboards and even the store room. I think I must have been inspired by just looking at my sisters' medals in awe. I mean.....you should have a look at them! There are sooooooooooooooooo many!!!
So anyway...I didn't manage to find them. Maybe they're in Singapore, in one of my boxes lah. Hmmm. I shall look for them when I get back there next week. Maybe I'll be even more inspired by looking at my own medals. Haha!!
Well, I may not be the most active in sports among my sisters, but hey, I believe that God gives different kinds of gifts to every single person. No one is wired like me...the combination of my personality, character, gifts, talents, weaknesses, isn't like anyone else's in the world. And that's why we are all SPECIAL.
I believe that every single one of my sisters have different specialisation, even though they may have the same kind of talent: excellent in sports. Jiejie's pet event was the sprints, Jo's was the hurdles, Pris is good at hurdles too, and Jem's is the long jump. Me? I'm not so sporty lah...but I'm better at different kinds of stuff. See? All special...
So...EVERYONE, LISTEN UP. Give a BIG smile and say "toopac". You are all special!!
I feel special...even if no one tells me that I am =)
