What's your story?
Everybody has a story. Behind every smile, every laughter that rings, every word uttered, every action committed...there is a story.

Behind every patient, there is a story...but I've never heard of such a sad one compared to this. If I put myself in the baby's shoes, I think I'd grow up regretting the fact that I never got to know my own mummy, yet at the same time thankful that because of mummy, I have life...

If I put myself in the shoes of the older sister, I'd probably grow up wondering why mummy had to go so early when I was just four...

And, if I put myself in the shoes of daddy, I'd probably never forget that time when I felt so bored waiting when my wife was in labour, and I went downstairs to the convenient store to get something to eat or read, or anything to entertain me while I accompany my wife. Only just to go upstairs and be told that she had collapsed during labour and had gone into the operating theatre for an emergency Caesarean section. To save the baby. And I'd regret never having the chance to say my last goodbyes and I love yous to her...

See, it's such a tragic story...I felt so utterly saddened when, bit by bit, the story unfolded before me over a few days. I still feel saddened every time I nurse the child, I even feel like crying when the baby cries...I know, I'm such a crybaby. But I am trying to detach myself, trying not to read into the lives of every patient...it's something I'm still learning to do.

But oh well...tragic and sad it might be, but we have hope don't we?

You make me laugh
I was lying on the bed and Jo was online, and so I asked her to open the Hotlink website.

She types something...and then says, "Ummm, it's not opening...there's no Hotlink website."

So I peeped over her head. She had typed: www.hotlink.com.sg.

I turned to look at her and made a face and she's like, "What???"

Man, I burst out laughing. It's almost as silly as SOMEONE who once asked my sisters, "Is there Starhub in Malaysia?"
