Just For Today, Lord

I will live through the next twelve hours and not try to tackle all of life's problems at once. I will improve my mind. I will learn something useful. I will learn something that requires effort, thought and concentration. I will be agreeable. I will look my best, speak in a well-modulated voice, be courteous and considerate. I will not find fault with friend, relative or colleague. I will not try to change or improve anyone but myself. I will have a program. I might not follow it exactly, but I will have it. I will save myself from two enemies: hurry and indecision. I will do a good turn and keep it secret. If anyone finds out, it won't count. I will do two things I don't want to do, just for the exercise. I will believe in myself. I will give my best to the world and feel confident that the world will give it's best to me.

SISTERS
Introducing...*drum roll*...Lydia Tang's sisters!!

EUNICE TANG
Oldest of the lot, my eldest sis has a good head over her shoulders, gives solid advice, is a God-fearing young lady. Jae Son (her boyfriend) is really blessed to have met her. She can be quite a clown sometimes, with her funny antics, but that's just her lah =) I respect her a lot.

JOANNA TANG

The most selamba of all is Jo...she's the
"go with the flow" kind. She loves dogs, techy stuff,
and she's good with her hands. Easy to get along with...but don't make her angry. Hehe. She
can be fierce if she wants to. Oh, and she's very
dreamy, too...

PRISCILLA TANG

Okay, seen here with me is Pris...tallest among us all. She's very down to earth, thinks carefully before she does anything, and very practical. Oh, not forgetting, highly gullible too. And quite domesticated...hehe. She's an athlete with brilliant brains. Am very proud of her!

JEMIMA TANG

Youngest of all...Jem. She was REALLY cute when she
was younger. She's still cute, but hates people
calling her that. An athlete, too...full of
energy most of the time. She's a sweet and
thoughtful girl...mature way beyond
her age. Wish she didn't have
to grow up all that fast.

Okay, there...you've met them all =) My sisters and I could spend the whole day together, talking, laughing, playing...if only we had all the time in the world. I wouldn't trade them for any others' siblings. Sure, we have our differences and disagreements at times, but it only binds us even closer. I simply LOVE my sisters.

Bedtime Prayer
My friend sent me this thinking that it describes me. She called me "MRS.WHATEVER-MY-FUTURE-SURNAME-IS-GOING-TO-BE". Haha...

BEDTIME PRAYER

Now I lay me down to sleep,

I pray for a man who's not a creep,

Who's not afraid to admit when he is wrong,

One who thinks before he speaks,

And when he promises to call, he doesn't wait six weeks.

I pray that he is gainfully employed,

Won't lose his cool when he's annoyed,

Pulls out my chair and opens my door,

Massages my back and begs to do more.

Oh, send me a man who will make love to my mind,

Know what to say when I ask,"How fat is my behind?"

I pray that this man will love me to no end,

And never compare me to my best friend.

Thank You in advance, and now I'll just wait,

For I know You will send him before it's too late.

Amen.

I think it's nice, yet funny in a certain way...I like it, actually. I mean, shouldn't we set a certain standard for the person whom we're going to spend our whole lives with? Whole life, you know...divorce isn't an option. If it was, why do marriages exist in the first place?

Some people tell me I should lower my standards...nah, they should know better. I won't.

Dad & Mum
This is my dad (he doesn't know how to play the piano, but he's just trying la...hehe). My dad is a man of high integrity. And you need to know this about him: he loves my mum to the core. He travels a lot due to work, but he makes every effort to get back home ASAP. I so respect him for that. Almost everything he does is fast...he eats fast, bathes fast, walks fast, drives fast, works fast. Oh, and he's the kind of person who dares to be different, no matter what people say about him or to him. I love my dad =)

Now this is my mum. She's involved with our church's Sunday School, that's why you see her as a clown here. She's a friendly and bubbly woman...but the one thing that's really outstanding about her is that she supports my dad in every area. And I think that's one thing every woman can learn from her. My mum's a great woman...and I know my sisters and dad would agree with me. I love my mum =)

This is a picture of my parents. I love this picture. They love each other; it's enough for me =)
