HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MALAYSIA!
May God's favour continue to be upon your people...
May blessings spring out of your grounds...
May prosperity dwell in your land...
We could see the fireworks display from our house last night. =)
Breakie with Merv and Isaac this morning was supposed to be at 9.30am...but when Isaac came honking at my doorstep, I was still SO asleep! Man...this has never happened before. So anyways, I got ready in like...fifteen minutes. And of course...those two guys were making fun of me. Nothing unusual...really (I mean, the making fun of me part).
So, it was a rather relaxing day...did the laundry with Mum, went for lunch, visited my uncle, came home and watched a movie, went for Jit and jiejie Li Poh's house-warming dinner, and now I'm here.
My one week break is coming to an end. This can only mean ONE thing:
Incoming stresssssssssssss....................
(I need a Chill Pill)
One bright and shining Tuesday afternoon, five wonderful friends (Zul, Chin Fang, Sheran, Sangeetha, and Lydia) went out to play. Haha...no, not play...eat. They went out to eat.
While at lunch (to be specific, at Bishan KFC), they came across this man who was sitting not far away from them...this man, they discovered, was really weird (or "WIRED" in Sheran's words =P). He likes looking at guys...yup. Funny, huh...anyways, that was what he was doing the whole time they were eating...
Allow me to sidetrack here for a while...prior to this, Ms. Lydia Tang had a few encounters with him. Not that she's ever talked to him before...it's just that she had gotten up the same bus as him a few times, and being the observant young lady that she is, she noticed that he smiles ALL THE TIME (and it's NOT the mere friendly type...it's the freaky and creepy kind), and he likes looking at guys.
Back to my story...so, the Five Friends (six actually, if you count Lionel, who had lunch with them) decided to put their hypothesis to test...
First, they sent Ms. Gursheran Kaur to walk in front of him...he didn't even look up from his pieces of paper scattered on the table. So next, they sent Encik Zulhilmi. And tada! He looked up...for a mere one second (maybe his kind of guys aren't Zul's type lah. Haha!!).
Just as they were finishing up the last of their lunch, The Man started packing his stuff up and got up from his seat...the Five Friends and Lionel then decided to do a little investigating. Their aim: find out what he does and maybe where he lives (Ms. Lydia thought that he lives near her place)...so off they went.
The first place The Man stopped was the toilet...Zul and Lionel went in with him. Not too closely, of course. When The Man came out, the Five Friends and Lionel followed him...at a safe distance. A few times though, they thought he saw them following...they were trying their VERY BEST to be discreet, but Ms. Sangeetha obviously needed more lessons at that...she was giggling all the way...and she was really, REALLY perasan (sorry, I don't know how to explain this word in English...thousands of apologies). She kept thinking that he was looking at HER...
The Man walked through the mall...then turned back and headed towards the MRT station...they followed. He played with the ticketing machines...they watched him play. He finally walked through the mall again and took a bus...and so did the Five Friends...
Sheran and Lydia got off the bus together with The Man...while the other three friends (Lionel had already gone home) got off at the next bus stop. The Man crossed the overhead bridge to the opposite bus stop...the two friends decided to take the pedestrian crossing (thinking they wouldn't be too noticeable). Ms. Lydia Tang put on her black jacket (even in the sweltering afternoon heat)...because she was wearing a bright pink top.
When the two friends had crossed the road, they decided to wait behind a tree...so as not to be noticed by The Man. Lo and behold...there was another man at a nearby bush. And this is what happened:
Sheran: Hey, what's that guy doing there?
Lydia: Where? Oh there...umm...........is he pee'ing or what?
Sheran: Oh my gawd!! Is he pee'ing??!?!
Lydia: ......umm.............
Sheran: Oh my gawd!!!!! I think he's flashing at us!!!!!!!!!
* And Sheran bursts into peals of ringing laughter................................
So...back to The Man. Lydia predicted that he was waiting for Bus 156. Well...she was right for a moment. The Man only flagged Bus 156, but did not board...however, he finally boarded Bus 162...and the two friends crossed the road again to join their three friends on the other side...
The Five Friends decided to call it a day for their adventure...they decided that they had better things to do than be too curious about other people's lives.
* This entry was entitled as Episode 1 because...the Five Friends may embark on another adventure another day. Stay tuned! =)
I think these are the loveliest things I've ever laid eyes on.
I just love them...tulips =)
More tulips...
Ahh.......simply gorgeous!
I think I should marry a Dutch (tulips grow like anything in Holland)...hahaha.
Jiejie Eunice said that if I really do,
I've gotta get her a ticket to Holland (Netherlands).
Anyways...there's something else my friends
recently told me.
They think I look like those
refined English ladies, sitting at the gazebo,
sipping my English tea,
knitting something,
watching the sun set while waiting for my hubby to get home.
Right.
Oh my gosh...I cannot imagine myself
in a bonnet and those long, long dresses which sweep the floor!!
And maybe wearing a pair of white gloves, too...
Aiyoyoh...cannot lah!! Cannot!!!
Okies...last one for tonight.
Saw this at the Malaysian immigration today:
VISIMenjadikan Kastam Malaysia dihormati, diiktiraf, dan bertaraf dunia.
(translated: VISION - To make the Malaysian customs
repectable, recognized,
and to be that of a world standard)
Yeah right.
I could bring an elephant in and they wouldn't care much.
